PFE DRIP Details:
The Pfizer Dividend Reinvestment Plan offers an attractive holding vehicle for your Pfizer investment. You could consider low cost brokerages such as Sharebuilder (esp for other benefits (such as real time trades), but the Pfizer DRIP is likely your overall lowest cost holding vehicle.
Pros:
Initial investment through plan, no optional purchase fees, no dividend reinvestment fee
Cons:
$500 initial investment minimum, $15 sales fee
**PLEASE NOTE**: Effective 11/5/2012, the fee structure for the Pfizer DRIP will be changing. The investment and dividend fees for the DRIP will go up significantly. Enrollment Fee $10; Dividend Reinvestment fee: 5% up to $3; Optional One-time Investment Fee: $5; Automatic Investment Fee: $2.50. With these new fees a low cost brokerage such as Sharebuilder will be a lower cost holding vehicle for your Pfizer investment.
